I love quest bar. yummmmm. I love how they are crunchy with chocolate and cookie bites. But they are so darn expensive! SO I decided to make my own :D. I used the recipe here

Where to get the ingredients?
Vita Fiber : I got it from Amazon.
Protein Powder : I got Body Fortress from Walmart. It is cheaper, its keto friendly, and I did not want to wait for shipping if I buy them online. From my research I have nailed down two Keto friendly brands I want to buy –
- Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard
They have so many flavors, and I really wanna try the cookie & cream and strawberry. GNC has sales from time to time. - Nature’s Best Isopure Protein Powder Zero Carb
This is pretty popular among the keto community, but it is a little bit expensive.
The rest of the ingredients are pretty easy to find in many supermarkets like Safeway and Bel Air.
I made the cookie dough flavor, so other than the basic ingredients (protein powder and vita fiber), I added almond flower and unsweetened chocolate.

Step 1 : Microwave 2 tsp of Vitafiber for 30 sec.
Step 2 : Add 1/4 cup (a scoop) of protein powder and 2 tsp of almond flower. Mix well.

Step 3 : Chop some chocolate (4 blocks) up and add them into the protein mix.
Step 4 : Shape the bar in a ziploc bag.
TA-DA. Here is the result! It is softer than quest bar. For some reason it reminds me of milk powder, probably because of the taste of the vanilla protein powder.

It was pretty easy to make. I just pretty much mixed everything together and let it sit there. I put it in the fridge for a bit to cold down faster. After that, I left it in room temperature over night, and it tasted fine during the next morning. I wanted to make these mainly for my fasting days so its easier for me to keep track of my calories, and it keeps me full. I can not wait to make more protein bars, mocha, green tea etc. So fun!! Stay tuned for more protein bars 🙂
